Force Gurkha 5-Door may be launched soon, will compete with Maruti Jimny
Force company has been testing the 5-door Gurkha for a long time. Force Gurkha 5-Door: Features and Layout
Force is trying out multiple seating layouts for the Gurkha 5-Door. Available in 5-seater, 6-seater versions and 7-seater, the standard Gurkha 3-door comes with a manual transfer case. According to reports, a rotary controller can be seen in the upcoming car instead of a manual shifter. The car is likely to miss out on front and rear diff-locks like the 3-door version.
Force Gurkha 5-Door: Engine
However, the same engine is likely to be used in the 5-door Gurkha as well. The 2.6-litre diesel engine produces 90 BHP and 250 Nm and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and all-wheel-drive system.
Upcoming car will compete with Maruti Jimny
The upcoming car launch will be followed by the recently launched Maruti Jimny. Talking about the launch of 5-door Gurkha, there is a possibility that 5-door Gurkha can be launched in the market this year. At present, no information about its price has been revealed. In terms of look and design, both Gurkha and Jimny are similar. Both these SUVs come in Mercedes G-Wagon-like design.
