A man accused of blasphemy in a court of law was shot dead in front of a judge in Pakistan

Bengali Hunt Desk: The man accused of blasphemy was shot dead in front of a judge in court on Wednesday. This happened in Pakistan. Police said Tahir Ahmed Nasim was arrested two years ago on charges of blasphemy. He was shot in front of Judge Shakuntala Khan in the court. The man died after being shot.


Strict security arrangements were made for the hearing of the case in the court premises. But in spite of that, this incident happened. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. Police arrested the killer from inside the court. Lawyers present at the time of the incident said a blasphemy case was pending against the deceased.

It is to be noted that blasphemy is a very sensitive case in Pakistan. The accused in this case always has to face death. Most of the time, the accused was beaten to death and his house was set on fire. The Ahmed community is considered a minority in Pakistan. Pakistan's parliament declared the Ahmed community non-Muslim in 1964. A decade later, Ahmadiyads were also banned from calling Muslims.
