A young man on duty at Tiger Hill died suddenly after being crushed under the ice.


Bengali Hunt Desk: The Indian Army jawan was actively deployed in the Tiger Hill area in the Dras sector of Jammu and Kashmir when it suddenly fell into an iceberg. He lost his life when he was crushed in the ice. This jawan was a resident of Buldhana district of Maharashtra.

On December 15, a large part of the ice in the Dras sector of Jammu and Kashmir collapsed and the soldiers deployed there also lost their lives when they were crushed under the ice. The jawan was a resident of Sindkherraja tehsil, Plaskhed Chakka village in Buldhana district of Maharashtra.

Pradeep, 30, was on duty at the Tiger Hill campus in the Dras sector. He was crushed to death when a large part of the ice suddenly broke.

He went to the village last month on a 15-day leave. Martyr Jawan Pradeep's brother said, “My brother has been martyred for the country, brother you have become immortal.”

Pradeep was posted in 10 Mahar Regiment in 2009. Pradeep has two younger brothers, one in the army and the other an agricultural assistant. Shaheed Pradeep has three children. His last rites will be performed on December 20 in his village.
