All people of Bengal get health benefits, people will be deprived if Ayushman Bharat project is launched: Chandrima Bhattacharya

BanglaHunt Desk: Chandrima Bhattacharya has spoken out against the Ayushman Bharat SEHAT project proposed by the Center. The central government has complained many times that Bangla Kendra has not accepted this project. On the contrary, the government of Bengal has found the shortcomings of this project. The state government has opposed the Center in everything from medical services to agricultural bills.

Despite protests by farmers demanding repeal of the Centre's agriculture bill, the central government did its duty properly. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday handed over Tk 18,000 crore to more than 90 million farmers in a program organized by the Prime Minister's Kisan Samman Nidhi. From that platform, he taunted the Bengal government for depriving the farmers of their dues. Now when that grassroots is going to Delhi and misleading the farmers and giving the message to stay by their side, why is everyone silent? '

As he sided with the peasant movement, he mocked the grassroots as well as other opposition parties. Prime Minister Modi said, “Even in Kerala, there is a left government. Why was Kisan Mandi not launched there? Please do not use these farmers for your own political advantage.

The Ayushman Bharat SEHAT project of the Center was launched on Saturday to facilitate the treatment of the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir. Talking about the benefits of this project, Modi attacked Bengal and said, “Using this card, you can get treatment in 2400 hospitals in any part of the country.” But not only in West Bengal. If some people do not understand, tell me what to do? The government of Bengal did not allow the project to be launched there.

State Minister for Health Chandrima Bhattacharya explained the reason behind not launching the project in Bengal. He said, ‘The Health Partner Project has been launched in Bengal since December 2016. But in October 2016, the Ayushman Bharat SEHAT project of the center was launched. They tried to tap from Bengal. This facility is being provided to only 500 million people under the auspices of Ayushman Bharat SEHAT project. Where all the people of Bengal are getting health benefits. And if this project of the central government is launched, the people of Bengal will be deprived. Coverage will be greatly reduced.
