Andhra Pradesh's ruling party is signing up for the NDA camp.

Bangla Hunt Desk: YSR Congress senior leader and party chief whip in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly G Srikanth Reddy said his party was ready to talk to the NDA to join the Center. But the only condition is that Andhra Pradesh should be given the status of a special state. At the same time, all the promises have to be kept as per the Andhra Pradesh Reconstruction Act.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy arrived in New Delhi on Monday. Jagan Mohan Reddy will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As soon as the news of this meeting between the two came to light, the speculation in the political arena increased. According to political experts, Narendra Modi can accept Jagan Mohan Reddy's condition to strengthen the hands of the BJP-led NDA.

Srikanth Reddy said his party was willing to sit down for all sorts of talks to join the NDA. But before joining the NDA, all the promises made under the Andhra Pradesh Reconstruction Act have to be fulfilled. And the biggest demand is that Andhra Pradesh should be given the status of a special state.

“There has been no invitation from the NDA, nor has there been any such proposal from our party,” he said. He said that in the meeting between Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, only development will be discussed. This meeting has nothing to do with politics.

Let it be known that Shiromani Akali Dal, the oldest ally of the NDA alliance, has recently left the BJP in opposition to the Agriculture Bill. The Akali Dal's decision is being seen as a bad omen for the BJP and the NDA alliance. However, this time the YSR Congress's NDA's hand-wringing will serve as a poultice to the wound.
