About 72 Taliban militants were killed in an air strike by the Afghan army. Successful Afghan forces carry out attacks on Taliban militants hiding in Kandahar province. As a result of the air strike, about 62 Taliban militants were killed.
According to police sources, the militants were nabbed as a result of a search operation in several places in Argandab district on Saturday night. The operation killed 72 militants, including Sarhadi, the Taliban’s top commander. The attack also destroyed two tanks and several weapons and vehicles belonging to the militants.
Afghanistan is still pursuing militants in Taliban-affected areas. It was not immediately clear if any Afghan soldiers were killed or wounded in the operation.

The news of this militant Nikesh from Afghanistan was also reported in a later tweet. “ANDSF operations have been going on in Kandahar, Ningar, Lagman, Konar, Faryab, Kunduz, Logar, Ghor, Badakhshan and Balkh provinces for the last 24 hours,” the tweet said. So far 158 terrorists have been killed but 10 civilians have been killed.
