Ashwin set a great example by surpassing the legendary Indian bowler

Indian spinner Rabichandran Ashwin set a unique precedent at home in the India vs England 2nd Test match. On the second day of the second Test, Rabichandran Ashwin took 266 wickets in the country by dismissing England batsman Ben Stokes. With 266 wickets, Ashwin surpassed former star Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh.

Punjab’s Harbhajan Singh took 265 wickets in 55 Test matches at home. Tamil Nadu’s Rabichandran Ashwin took 366 wickets in just 45 innings after dismissing Ben Stokes. However, Anil Kumble, the former Indian cricketer and former head coach of the Indian team, topped the list with the most wickets at home, taking 350 wickets in just 63 innings.

In the first innings, Ashwin’s poisonous bowling came down to chase the target of India’s huge run and the England batsmen were in a daze. Ravichandran Ashwin broke England’s batting waist with five wickets in the first innings. England’s first innings ended with just 134 runs under the pressure of Indian bowlers.
