Bangla Hunt Desk: Bangladesh was shaken by a terrible explosion. It is learned that 11 people have been killed in a horrific explosion at a mosque in Bangladesh and the death toll is expected to rise further. According to reports, a fire broke out at the Baitus Salat Jame Mosque in Narayanganj due to a short circuit, and the explosion took place. However, it was also learned that the leak was caused by a gas line passing through the floor of the mosque.

The accident took place during a religious ceremony in Narayanganj on Friday night. More than 40 people were reported injured in the incident. Many of them are in critical condition. Dhaka Medical College said that work is underway to identify the dead. Due to which most of their body parts have been burnt. Doctors said 40 people, including the imam of the mosque, were being treated at the hospital.

Locals said the blast was caused by air conditioning on the roof of the mosque. Abdullah Al Arfin, deputy assistant of the Narayanganj Fire Service, said firefighters were dispatched to the spot and the injured were rushed to a hospital. The blast reportedly burned six ACs in the mosque.
