Big Breaking: Five of the eight northeastern states are free of corona, the Union Minister announced


Bengali Hunt Desk: The good news came on Monday amid a steady rise in corona cases across the country. The five states of the Northeast have been liberated. Union Minister Jitendra Singh said five of the eight northeastern states have been completely free of corona. And in the other three states, no new cases of corona have come to light in the last few days.

Jitendra Singh is the development minister of the northeastern states. He held meetings with senior officials of Northeast Parishad Shillong through video conferencing with various government commissions and public organizations. He then said that the five northeastern states were not completely free.

The Union Minister said the five northeastern states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura have been completely liberated from corona. The remaining three states – Assam, Meghalaya and Mizoram – have also reported 8,11 cases of corona virus.

Jitendra Singh said Corona's case did not come up again from those three states after Sunday night. He wished the state government, the Chief Minister and officials of their respective ministries and the council for a great coordination.

The Union Minister discussed proposals from Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur for new health plans for the care and management of coronavirus patients. He said the plans will be implemented as per the need.
