The Union Home Ministry has given special permission to all these people to return to their homes. And this time a special train will be arranged to take them home. As per the instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the ‘Shramik Special Train’ will be run on the occasion of International Labor Day from May 1 today.
An official said the home ministry had announced special trains for people stranded due to the lockdown to return to their home states. Let me inform you that on Thursday, Bihar, Telangana and Panja demanded the central government to run special trains to reach the homes of people stranded in different states.

Union Home Ministry Joint Secretary Punya Salil Srivastava told a press conference that the State and Railway Boards would take necessary steps for this. The order issued by the ministry said that expatriate laborers, pilgrims, tourists, students and others have been allowed to travel on special trains run by the railway ministry.
The Ministry of Railways will liaise with the states to appoint nodal officers and issue detailed guidelines for ticket sales. At this time it will be inevitable to observe social distance and other security aspects.
