Big news: PM Wi-Fi will be launched this time, one crore data centers will be set up in the country

Prakash Javrekar, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Santosh Ganguly met today under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After the meeting, Ravi Shankar Prasad said that free internet service will be provided across the country. For this reason, a total of one crore data centers will be built. The name of this project will be PM Wi-Fi.

Public data office will be opened under this project, no license is required for this. In just seven days, the government will give all the consent to build a data office, data aggregator and app system. Even Lakshadweep will have this WiFi connectivity via fiber cable.

Union Minister Santosh Ganguly said the free WiFi system would be set up across India by 2023 with the aim of building a self-reliant India. 22,000 crore has been allocated for this. This will benefit 56.5 lakh employees. In addition, the government will pay 24 per cent of the EPF to employees with companies with more than 1,000 employees. He claimed that before Narendra Modi came to power, 80 million people worked in the organized sector in the country. Now it has increased to 10 crores.
