BJP activists angry over Mehbooba's statement raise national flag at Lalchowk

Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti's statement on the tricolor after 14 months of detention has caused political turmoil in Jammu and Kashmir. On Monday morning, riots broke out in Srinagar and the entire Union Territory. On the one hand, the BJP workers who went to Lalchowk to hoist the national flag were arrested by the police, and on the other hand, the BJP workers once again arrived outside the PDP office with the tricolor.

After PDP president Mehbooba Mufti's statement insulting the national flag, BJP workers hoisted the tricolor and chanted slogans at the PDP office. Earlier on Saturday, BJP workers hoisted the tricolor at the PDP office.

As a result of this incident, the BJP workers had a heated argument with the PDP leaders present in the office. PDP spokesperson Firdaus Tak tweeted that BJP workers had attacked the PDP office. They have clashed with PDP leader Pervez Buffer.

BJP workers tried to hoist the national flag once again on Monday at Lalchowk in Srinagar, but were stopped by police. Police arrested the BJP workers after the altercation.
