Centre's big decision: Howrah Kalka Mail renamed 'Netaji Express'

Amit Malviya, the BJP's co-incharge in West Bengal, once again lashed out at the state government for naming the Kalka Mail 'Netaji Express'.

Recently, it was decided by the Railways that the Kalka Mail in Howrah would be named after Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. According to the Railway Board on Tuesday night, on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the new name of Kalka Mail in Howrah is 'Netaji Express'. The Deputy Director informed that the decision to change the name of 12311/12312 Howrah Kalka Mail has been agreed.

It is known why this train was named 'Netaji Express' – when it first started running in 18, the name was East India Lame. Then Netaji disappeared on the train at midnight on January 16, 1941.

Meanwhile, as the new name of Kalka Mail was 'Netaji Express', Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was attacked by BJP's co-incharge in West Bengal Amit Malviya. “Mamata Banerjee was also the railway minister for 3.5 years,” he said. But he did not do it.
