Chhattisgarh: Three months after the gang-rape and suicide, the police filed a case


Bangla Hunt Desk: A young woman was gang-raped by seven men at Oragram in Kondagaon district of Chhattisgarh. The girl committed suicide two days after the incident. But despite thousands of attempts by the family, the police did not file a case. Three months later, after the girl's girlfriend reported the incident, the police sat motionless.

The police did not want to file a complaint for three months. SDPO Amit Patel said the body was exhumed for autopsy after the allegation, this time postmortem will be done. The girl's uncle claimed that the police did not take any action despite repeated complaints from the family.

The victim's father tried to commit suicide by consuming pesticides on October 4, but his life was saved due to timely treatment. The victim's father then left without telling anyone on October 5, and his family is now looking for him.

The family members found out that the case was related to the girl's suicide, after which a complaint was lodged with the police on behalf of the family. The girl's girlfriend said that she and Tirita went to a wedding about three months ago. Jalsa was going on there for many nights.

There were seven people from Kanagram and Food village in that marriage. The girlfriend says that at night, seven people picked up his girlfriend and took her to the forest and raped her. Returning from there, the victim told his girlfriend everything. According to the girlfriend, the rapists threatened to kill her and her family if she opened her mouth.
