Corona crisis: The Yogi government will pay the costs incurred on farmers' cultivation


Prime Minister Narendra Modi had requested for a lockdown increase in several states. The current lockdown period is 22 days, the Prime Minister will discuss again on Saturday and give new instructions. More than 3,000 people have died.

The government has decided to lock down where there is no loss or damage. But still the problem has to be identified in this area.

Moreover, top officials of the NITI Aayog believe that the economy will suffer a lot due to the complete lockdown after April 7. So, in the first phase, the scheme will operate in 4 districts including Lucknow, Varanasi and Gorakhpur in UP. Also, farmers will get free cultivation and sowing for two months, since lock down.
Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Sitapur, Ambedkarnagar, Prayagraj, Azamgarh, Barabanki, Hordei, Jaunpur, Gazipur, Pratapgarh, Santakbirnagar and Vodohi. Eligible farmers in this district can meet the agricultural officials in their area to avail the benefits of this project.

Farmers are unable to get out of their homes due to coronary infection and lockdown. The Modi government has sent an installment of Tk 5 crore to the Prime Minister's Kisan Samman Nidhi in a farmers' bank account in Uttar Pradesh.
