Bangla Hunt Desk: About 5 migrant workers gathered in Surat, Gujarat, on Thursday afternoon to protest. The workers raised the issue of food provided to them during lockdown. A local police official said the migrant laborers and their family members started a rally on the streets of Pondesara area. Most of these workers are reported to be from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The workers complained that their food was not like the taste of food.

When DCP Chowdhury learned about the incident, he accompanied the police to the protest site and tried to persuade them. Ridhi Chowdhury said there was a small issue with food, which has been resolved. Now the situation is in complete control.

Some workers sitting in the dharna said while talking to the media. The taste of the food provided by the NGO is not consistent. They said they like to eat spices and nonvices. Earlier on Wednesday, hundreds of migrant laborers in Pandole industrial area demonstrated this demand.

Let me tell you, so far in Gujarat, 125 people have been infected with the corona virus. Of these, 120 cases are active. In addition, 4 people lost the virus and returned to their home after being discharged from the hospital. And 12 people have died from this deadly virus.
