England’s own captain scolds umpires for not dismissing Ben Stokes

Bangla Hunt Desk: There has been a controversy over umpiring in the India vs England ODI series. Bad umpiring started from the first ODI and continued in the second ODI. England all-rounder Ben Stokes had a great performance with the bat in the second ODI on Friday. Playing an innings of 99 off 52 balls, he snatched the match from India. England won easily thanks to this great innings by Ben Stokes.

However, he was out when Ben Stokes was batting for 32 runs. He survived that trip due to a mistake by the third umpire. And this claim has been made by the former England captain Michael Vaughan himself. Former cricketers like Ian Bell, Yuvraj Singh and Sanjay Manjrekar have also spoken out about this.

In the 26th over of England’s innings, Ben Stokes tried to take a run by playing lightly with the ball of Bhubaneswar Kumar. Kuldeep Yadav broke the wicket with a great throw while taking the second run after the first run. Indian cricketers have strongly appealed for the help of a third umpire to decide the field umpire. The third umpire overturned the decision of the Indian cricketers after watching the video but it is clear that Ben Stokes’ bat did not enter the crease. And the former cricketers have been vocal about this.
