The Delhi authorities have refused to renew the Licker Cell License of a French company named Perno Rica, which manufactures these whiskies. Because of which now this whiskey brand is not available in Delhi.

The authorities have refused to give it a renewal citing separate investigations. Now the French company has appealed to the court to ask the Delhi authorities to renew the license.

According to Perno Rica, the company is suffering a lot due to non-renewal of license. For the last 6 months, none of the company’s brands are available in the market in Delhi. In such a situation, those who like this brand are also facing problems and the company is also facing financial loss. Let me tell you, the company is accused of earning profits in an illegal way in the year 2021 by giving wrong information. Along with this, it is also alleged that the company had given money to the shopkeepers in the market to increase their stock. However, the company has denied these allegations every time.

Company is in India since 20 years

Perno Rica has been supplying its liquor bottles to India for over 20 years. The state government gives liquor license to the company to sell its stock. But, it also has to be renewed every year. Perno Rica has a sizeable market in India and it has a market share of 17 per cent here.
