Bangla Hunt Desk: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has started following in the footsteps of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. After Uttar Pradesh, the work of changing the name of the city is about to start in Madhya Pradesh as well. Recently, Madhya Pradesh Protem Speaker Rameshwar Sharma demanded that Eidgah Hills be renamed Gurunanak Tekri and Hoshangabad be renamed Narmadapur.
He said the names of Aurangzeb and Hoshang Shah were tarnished. We have no objection to the names associated with the Indian background. But why should people like Aurangzeb and Hoshang Shah be a disgrace to us and name our city after such robbers? It may be mentioned that Rameshwar Sharma took part in the Bhumi Pujo for the activities of MLA Rest House on Monday, at which time he proposed to change the name of Hoshangabad to Narmadapur.
According to Rameshwar Sharma, Rahim Kabir Raskhan is admirable, he never judged race or religion. There is no objection to naming a place after Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam or Ashfaqullah, because they have worked to advance Indian culture. But there is an objection to the name of our city being named after a robber like Hoshang Shah. Why would we name our city after a robber?
Let me inform you that the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, recently spoke of renaming Hyderabad as Bhagyanagar. This time the politics of changing the name has started in Madhya Pradesh too. Former Indore MP Sumitra Mahajan had earlier raised her voice in the case.
