According to sources, MLA Aman Mani Tripathi was going to Badrinath with his colleagues in three vehicles on Sunday evening. Meanwhile, he was stopped by a transit barrier. Forcing to move towards Karnaprayag, the police stopped three vehicles in Karnaprayag based on the information of the authorities.

According to DGP Asok Kumar, MLA Aman Mani was arrested in Munikirati area. A case has been filed against 12 people including the MLA under Section 16 and National Disaster Act. He and his companions were later released on personal bond.
