Bangla Hunt Desk: The mini auction of IPL 2021 was held in Chennai on 18th February. In that auction, each team came up with their own plans and returned home to strengthen their own team. Every franchise has returned home, filling in the gaps of the previous season. In the meantime, it has been confirmed that this time the IPL is going to be held on Indian soil. Last time the IPL was held in Dubai due to Corona, but this time the IPL will be held in the country.
The BCCI has decided to shoot IPL matches in any city of the country as it has not yet fully recovered from the country. This will put cricketers and all those associated with the IPL under proper security. That is why the BCCI decided that Mumbai and Pune would host every match of the group league and the matches of the knockout stages of the IPL would be played at the newly constructed Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.
However, new corona infections have started to increase in Maharashtra. Due to which BCCI is very worried. And that is why the BCCI is determined to host the IPL in several more safe venues with Maharashtra. Apart from Mumbai, the BCCI is considering hosting IPL matches in Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Bangalore. However, even if the match is played in Mumbai, the IPL will be held in Mumbai leaving the stadium completely empty. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is also considering holding IPL matches in other cities with 50% spectators.
