Banglahunt Desk: The Narendra Modi-led central government is about to announce one more financial package for the people of India. On Saturday, the Prime Minister held meetings with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Home Minister Amit Shah, officials from the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and the Ministry of Finance. There, the Prime Minister emphasized on creating employment and reviving various industries, including the unorganized sector.
That is why he has given the responsibility of preparing a report on the implementation of this project to an institution like the National Institute of Rural Development. Earlier on Friday, the Prime Minister held meetings with various ministries including civil aviation, labor and energy.
The decision may be based on the plan that officials from various ministries have given to the Prime Minister to revive the economy. The unorganized sector accounts for 80 percent of the country's labor force. 80% of the workers working in the organized sector are in the MSME sector. Both of these areas have suffered major setbacks due to the lockdown. It is expected that in the second package, the government will focus more on small businesses and other weaker sectors than large industries.
Earlier, the Modi government had taken steps to liberate the poor from the economic crisis. Under the Prime Minister's Poor Welfare Scheme, the central government has sent a total of Tk 26,256 crore to the accounts of 31.7 crore people across the country.
According to the finance ministry, the central government has announced a relief package of Rs 1.7 lakh crore. The poor, widows, especially the able-bodied, will transfer some money to the farmers' accounts for the next three months.
An official in the office of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in a tweet on Monday that digital infrastructure has made it easier to deliver money to people quickly and easily.

The government has transferred Rs 1,000 to the accounts of senior citizens, widows and specially able people. Besides, Tk 13,655 crore has been given to the farmers of the country under the Prime Minister's Kisan Samman Nidhi. The farmers each got Rs 2,000.
