Group conflict in the world's largest Rohingya camp! There are connections with drugs and human trafficking

Bangla Hunt Desk: There are sectarian tensions among Rohingya Muslims living in refugee camps in Bangladesh. The incident took place in a Rohingya camp in the southern part of Bangladesh. According to local police and social workers, the two armed groups clashed. All of them are known to have criminal connections. Thousands of people have fled the fighting and eight are reported dead.

Local police have arrested 12 people in connection with the shootings, arson and kidnappings. They were all fighting for their dominance there. Let me inform you that there is the largest Rohingya camp in the world in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. There are more than one lakh Rohingyas living there.

Cox's Bazar Additional Superintendent of Police Rafiqul Islam said, “The situation in the area is worrying. The two organizations are trying to dominate the area. They are also known to be involved in drugs and human trafficking. ”

This Rohingya camp in Cox's Bazar has become a hub for drug trafficking. Drugs are reported to be coming from the Myanmar border. And from this camp it is known that drugs are spreading in different parts of Bangladesh. Since 2016, 100 Rohingyas involved in such trafficking and sectarian conflict have died there.
