At the same time, the government can also introduce a good insurance scheme for the traders registered in GST in the coming days.

It is the effort of the government to get all the good opportunities for retail trade in the country. That’s why special attention has been given to domestic traders in the proposed policy. One of the objectives of this policy is to digitize the country’s retail trade.

Traders will get easy capital

In this regard, official sources say that the National Retail Trade Policy is being prepared in such a way that traders get strong infrastructure to do business. Rather, along with digitization, good infrastructure for supply chain, skill development, arrangements can be made for redressal of complaints.

Insurance policy will come for traders

India is the fifth largest retail market in the world. Therefore, the Department of Financial Services and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry are working on introducing a special insurance scheme for the retail traders of the country. Those traders who will be registered in GST will be eligible to take Accidental Insurance Policy under this scheme.

Praveen Khandelwal, general secretary of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAT), an organization of small traders, says that the retail trade policy will help the retail sector a lot. This is the only sector in the country for which there is no fixed policy.
