Hindus observe Navratri and Ram Navami at home, Muslims will observe Ramadan at home: Yogi Adityanath

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that good deeds like fasting, service to humanity, service to God, patience, self-discipline, tolerance, simplicity etc. are done during the holy days of Ramadan. It also strengthens mutual love and brotherhood.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said Uttar Pradesh is an example of harmony, brotherhood and cultural unity. Keeping this tradition intact, Muslim brothers should sit at home and do religious work in times of crisis in Corona. Carefully watch out for crowds.

“The month of Ramadan gives us a message of prayer, restraint, mutual love and harmony, as well as helping the poor and needy,” said Governor Anandiben Patel. But this year, because of the corona virus (COVID-19), everyone is asked to pray at home. He added, “People who go out of the house for necessary work will cover their faces with masks or cloths and maintain social distance as directed by the government.”

SP National President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav wished the people of the state a happy Ramadan and said that a person can learn a lot about empathy and patience during the auspicious month of Ramadan. The purpose of Ramadan is to avoid evil and to pursue righteousness. The Shia and Sunni Waqf Board has appealed not to gather anywhere during Sahri and Iftar on the occasion of Ramadan. And he has asked everyone besides him to sit at home and perform the prayers. Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi directed the Waqf Board officials to observe the lockdown.
