Bangla Hunt Desk: An American citizen stranded in India said that India is much safer than his country. He said the epidemic was more prevalent in the United States than in India, which is why he wanted to stay in India for a while longer. According to reports, theater worker Terry John Converse (64) is an American citizen and has been stuck in India since the lockdown. He has obtained permission from the Kerala High Court to stay in India till May 16.
“I want to stay in India for the next six months now,” Terry John said. This is the second time that his visa has been extended. For the first time, his visa was extended from March 26 to April 25, as a nationwide lockdown was imposed on March 24. The court will now hear her application for stay in India on May 18. If the lockdown continues in India, his visa will be extended.
Terry John said he is much safer in India than in the US because the epidemic is much more prevalent in the US than in India. Let me tell you, a total of 35,044 people have been infected with the corona virus in India so far and 1,146 people have died from this deadly virus.
On the other hand, in the United States, about 1.1 million people have been infected with the virus so far, and more than 63,000 people have died from the deadly virus. As such, it is true of Terry John that India is much safer than America.
