India's response to the Boxing World Cup was India's, winning nine medals and finishing second

India finished second in the World Cup with nine medals. The nine medals include three gold, two silver and four bronze.

Manisha Maun and Simranjit Kaur won gold for India in this World Cup. Simranjit Kaur won the gold in the women's 60kg category by defeating Maya Kleinhans of Germany 4-1. However, Manisha had to fight hard to win in the 57 kg category. His opponent in the final of this category was Sakshi Chowdhury from India.

Amit Fangal won the only gold for India in the men's event. He got a walkover in the 52kg division final on Saturday. In the 91 kg category, India's Satish Kumar could not play in the final due to injury. He withdrew from the final and had to be content with winning silver.
Gaurab Solanki, Sonia Lathar, Mohammad Hussainuddin and Pooja Rani also won bronze for India.
