BanglaHunt Desk: After the meeting between Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the Jammu and Kashmir issue, there is going to be some political change. With the status of a full-fledged state of Jammu, Pakistan seems to have sprinkled salt on the thorns in the face of various changes.
Pakistan has expressed concern over administrative and demographic changes in Jammu and Kashmir. On the issue of separation of Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chowdhury said no such law would have any effect. India has violated international law by taking unilateral and illegal steps.
He added that India could never force the Kashmiri people and Pakistan to abide by their illegal policies. Zahid Hafiz Chowdhury’s remarks put some pressure on the Pakistani government when Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan was interested in mediating with India on Kashmir.
Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan also raised the issue of India during a recent meeting with the President of Tajikistan in Islamabad. He said Pakistan was willing to talk if India wanted to discuss the restoration of Article 370. But the clear message from India is that unless Pakistan stops its terrorist activities, India will not sit down for any discussion on the issue.
