Bangla Hunt Desk: Virat Kohli has been playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) since the inception of the IPL. Virat Kohli has been the captain of Bangalore for the last eight years. But Virat failed to win the RCB IPL, Virat Kohli could not make Bangalore the IPL champion once.
That is why former India opener and two-time IPL champion Gautam Gambhir has demanded that Virat Kohli be removed from the RCB captaincy. Virat Kohli is repeatedly failing to make serious demands. And so this time RCB should look at someone other than Virat Kohli.
Former KKR captain Gautam Gambhir further said that Gambhir should take all the responsibility on his shoulders even if he loses as the captain gets all the credit for winning. And so Gambhir thinks that this time Virat Kohli should step down from the RCB captaincy with all the responsibility of the rate on his shoulders.
Gautam Gambhir spoke about Ravichandran Ashwin. Gambhir said Kings XI Punjab had removed Ravi Ashwin from the captaincy after failing for just two years. Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Rohit Sharma have succeeded as captains and that is why they have been able to captain so far. I think if it failed, Mumbai Indians would have removed Rohit Sharma from the captaincy in so many days. So why change the rules in the case of Virat Kohli? Eight years is a great time. Virat Kohli should be removed from the captaincy after failing for so many years.
Gambhir also claimed that Royal Challengers Bangalore did not qualify for the play-offs this year. RCB has reached the play-off only by luck. The consequences were seen in the first match.
