IPL 2023: Mumbai Indians bought Joffra Archer for Rs 8 crore but in two seasons he has so far played only 2 matches for the team. He has played both these matches this season, while Mumbai has played 7 matches.
New Delhi: This season has been full of ups and downs for the five-time IPL champion Mumbai Indians. Rohit Sharma’s team, which started with a defeat, registered three consecutive wins. Now he has faced two consecutive defeats. He also got defeated against Gujarat Titans on Tuesday. Star fast bowler once again in this matchCould not play, due to which questions are being raised on his fitness. Archer has now got angry on the questions regarding fitness.
The fitness of the dashing English pacer, who has played only two matches so far in the IPL 2023 season, has been a constant cause of concern. Before the match against Gujarat Titans, Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma had told that he is not fit and hence he was not a part of the team. After this a report came, claiming that Archer had gone to Belgium for surgery in the middle of the IPL.

The report of British newspaper The Telegraph claimed that after the first match of Mumbai Indians in IPL, Archer could not play in the next matches because he went to Belgium for right elbow surgery. This elbow has troubled Archer for the last two years. After the arrival of this report, Archer got angry and he raised questions on the report.
Archer’s anger came out on the reporter
The English pacer vented his anger by tweeting. Archer wrote that this report was written without knowing the full facts and without his permission. He also targeted the reporter and wrote that he should be ashamed of himself. Archer also accused the reporter of using the player’s troubles for his own benefit. Archer also wrote, people like you are the problem.

Who ever the reporter is shame on you, an already worrying and troubling time for a player and you exploit it for your personal gain, its people like you that are the problem.

Archer played only 2 matches

Archer played the first match of Mumbai Indians in this season. After this he sat out for 4 consecutive matches. Then he came back in the sixth match but in the seventh match he sat out again.
