Chennai: the way in whichHas made his mark in the IPL 2023 season, he has surprised everyone. Running out of Team India, Rahane has wreaked havoc with explosive batting in his very first season for Chennai Super Kings. Rahane, who is considered a Test batsman, is batting in such a way that even the legendary T20 batsmen are envious. Rahane played one such shot against Kolkata Knight Riders, which has created a stir.
The last few seasons in IPL have also not been good for Rahane, who was dropped from India’s Test team due to poor form. Even in this IPL auction, he did not even get a buyer earlier. Then Chennai bought him at the base price of Rs 50 lakh. He did not get a chance in the first two matches but from the second match he has created havoc.
Rahane creates panic, Pietersen is also a fan
Rahane showed a masterclass of T20 batting against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens on Sunday. Rahane in his style used many classical drives and steps to score high shots. He scored a half-century in just 24 balls. Then came that shot which no one would have ever expected from Rahane.
In the 18th over, Kulwant Khejroliya’s last ball was outside the off-stump and Rahane changed the grip of his bat and playing reverse scoop sent the ball towards third man for 4 runs.
This shot surprised everyone. Even Kevin Pietersen, one of the explosive batsmen of T20 cricket, could not contain himself. Pietersen wrote in a tweet that this was also one of the greatest shots he had seen.
Jinx Rahane has just played one of the greatest shots I’ve ever seen. Keep entertaining bro!
