BanglaHunt Desk: The world is changing fast. As well as the type of work instead. Many people want to earn money in a different way instead of traditional work. One of the alternatives is organic farming. This farming does not require hard work like traditional farming, the income is several times higher.
Recently, a student of IIT Bombay, Tathagata, has taken this organic farming to another level. In his words, ‘I studied from IIT Bombay, but after studying, I did not try to get a job in any company. We have started organic farming back in the village. After 3 years of hard work, he is now earning Rs 9 lakh.
Tathagata is a resident of Kalapipal tehsil in Shajapur district in Madhya Pradesh. He has done BTech from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal and Masters from IIT Bombay and has chosen organic farming as his profession.
At present, 16 types of crops are being grown in the 16 acres of land of Tathagata. Yields include turmeric, ginger, lemon grass and gram. Besides organic farming, he is also earning by making animal husbandry and organic fertilizer. At the moment he is earning Rs 50,000 per acre which is Rs 9 lakh annually.
