Internal Operator Data Reveals What Casino Games Indians Like to Play

Insights into the real-life preferences of desi online casino players based on internal operator hard data have been revealed for public use in a recent industry report.

The primary data-based study by the SevenJackpots research team points to a soaring demand for live casino games of any type, but mostly for game shows and live roulette.

These two gaming categories have a combined contribution of more than half or 57.39% of registered online casino operator turnovers for the first ten months of last year. Their combined footprint even grows to 59.6% when looking at the last three months of the observed period (August to October 2022).

Dominated by live games from Evolution and their “daughter” brand Ezugi, game show and roulette titles have individual contributions of 34.48% and 22.91% respectively for the full 10-month period, and 32.81% and 26.79% respectively for the last analysed trimester.

Blackjack games stand in third place, amassing 16.11% of operator turnovers between January and October, followed at a sizable distance by baccarat games with a weight of 7.45%.

In a notable shift, the footprints of the two most popular casino card games shorten the gap between each other during the last three months of the analysed period. James Bond’s favourite game baccarat grows its share by 1.59% to 9.04%, while blackjack titles suffer a substantial 5.74% drop to 10.37%.

Slots, the only games in the top games by turnover chart that are played without a live dealer, keep a stable fifth position with shares of 4.59% and 4.54% for the two compared periods.

As we can see from the data shared by SevenJackpots, roulette games are the big gainers among the leading duo, raising their share by 3.88% for the last trimester of the observed period to 26.79%, while game shows lose 1.67% to a value of 32.81%.

Crazy Time and Lightning Roulette Are the Biggest Contributors

Looking at individual game titles, Lightning Roulette by Evolution stands out as the most massive contributor among all casino online games, consistently bringing in around one eight of operator turnovers. The second biggest revenue supplier is a game show by the same provider called Crazy Time which carries about half of the leader’s contribution.

Multi award winning Lightning Roulette is a mixed live dealer and RNG game that runs with the standard rules for European roulette enhanced by extra options to win big payouts.

At the start of each round, a lightning strikes up to five lucky numbers and replaces the standard multiplier for straight up bets on these numbers with a bonus multiplier that can reach 500x.

The game is streamed in real time from a dedicated studio set in black and gold Art Deco design with “electrifying” visual elements. The gameplay features a live dealer and a live roulette wheel, combined with virtual RNG algorithms that run the lucky numbers and payouts.

Lightning Roulette contributed 15.68% of online casino operator turnovers for the first 10 months of 2022, but the game’s revenue share dropped to 11.06% in the last months of the period. The lost traffic may be attributed mainly to XXXTreme Lightning Roulette (which rose from 3.18% to 5.28%) and Instant Roulette (2.54% to 6.42%).

Crazy Time is a game show that again combines live and RNG elements; it features a 54-segmented money wheel and a 2-reel Top Slot in the main game, plus four unique bonus games called Cash Hunt, Coin Flip, Pachinko, and Crazy Time.

Crazy Time had a stable contribution of 6.41% between January and October, and 6.56% between August and October 2022.
