Mahindra Thar has been one of the most popular SUVs for sale in our market. Now Thar lovers will soon get to see the new look of Mahindra Thar. However, the company is unable to introduce this model of Thar in the international market. Mahindra launched the Roxor off-roader in the US in 2018. Thar-Based Commercial Vehicle was introduced. Sale of the off-roader was banned in the US as it was found to infringe on Jeep’s design trademark. According to Jeep, the design of the off-roader was based on the Willys Jeep used in World War II.

According to the report, Mahindra was planning to introduce the new generation Thar lifestyle SUV in the Australian market. However, no work has been done on this plan at present. Mahindra is trying to bring the off-roader to the local showrooms.

Mahindra Thar SUV: New styling and design

According to the reports, Thar will not enter any international market in its present time. The statement was made during the national launch of the new Scorpio. Mahindra is working on a differently styled rugged off-roader for the international market. It will be a completely different model and will not infringe on the design copyrights of Jeep Wrangler or Jeep Willys. As per reports, the company is working on a differently styled car with a different value proposition and suitable for the international market.

Mahindra Thar SUV: Dimensions

Mahindra is preparing a 5-door/LWB version of the Thar lifestyle SUV for India. The SUV will retain the original styling, but its dimensions can be changed significantly. Mahindra may introduce an entirely new off-roader based on the Thar platform. This SUV will target the global market.
