Mamata Banerjee's final move: State sends list of 8 new trains for migrant workers

Banglahant Desk: Mamata government was shaken after the death of migrant workers in a train accident in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. According to sources, eight new trains have been arranged for migrant workers. It is learned that at least 30,000 workers will return to Bengal by this train. The state government has sent a list to the Railway Ministry stating where the trains will return with how many workers.

The eight trains stranded in different parts of the country are mainly for workers in North Bengal and Jangalmahal. May 9, 10 and 11 – Trains will run for three days. On the first day, 4 trains will be released from Bangalore and Hyderabad in phases. Three special trains have been arranged on the 11th. Two of the trains will return to Vellore to treat residents of the state who are stuck. Another train is coming from Chandigarh to Durgapur.

Yesterday, Amit Shah's home ministry sent a letter to the state saying the state government was not active enough with migrant workers. Where it is clearly alleged, “The West Bengal government is not allowing the train carrying the expatriate workers to enter the state, it is unfair to them. This will create more problems for them. ”

Earlier, impatient Ranjan Chowdhury had also spoken out against the Chief Minister on the same issue. He said, “Workers are stuck in different parts of the country. Suffering from severe financial crisis. Not getting food. All roads back home are closed. The state is not taking adequate measures. The workers are calling me and crying. ”

He added that he had discussed the matter with Railway Minister Piyush Goel in the interest of the workers. There, through the Railway Minister, he came to know that only 2 trains were requested from Bengal on behalf of the state to repatriate the workers. Which, of course, made the video an overnight sensation.
