Metro may be launched after May 3, but the Modi government may close this important facility

Bengali Hunt Desk: The Metro Service may be re-launched after a lockdown across India to curb the spread of the corona virus. The Modi Sarkar may stop traveling on tokens after the launch of Metro across the country. Travel can only be allowed through a smart card. One government official gave this information. In the case of Central Housing and Urban Affairs, the Ministry has come up with a standard operating procedure (SOP) to start Metro services after the lockdown.

According to a report in the English media, the government is considering starting metro services by observing social distance to reduce the risk of coronary expansion. This method involves distance between the two passengers, screening them and controlling the crowd at the metro station.

Smart cards can be recharged, and rent is paid at the access gate. But tokens are bought by passengers every time they start their journey and there are long lines at the ticket counters of most metro stations.

The official said a meeting was held on Tuesday to discuss how to start the metro service after getting the exemption in the guidelines. “First of all, we have to control the crowd and, according to the crowd, we have to maintain the frequency on the train,” he said. However, it is not yet clear whether public transport will be exempted after May 3. Let me inform you that all metro services, including trains and planes, have been suspended since March 25.
