Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Wednesday said the government would soon issue a recommendation to the states to take special measures to protect the interests of buyers as well as other parties involved in the real estate industry.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs said in a statement that large-scale workers had returned to their homes due to the global epidemic Kovid-19 and supply of various construction materials had been disrupted. This has affected construction activities. Many real estate projects have also been affected by the lockdown.
A meeting of the Central Advisory Council constituted under the provisions of the Real Estate (Control and Development) Act, 2016 (RERA) was held on Wednesday. Niti Commission CEO Amitabh Kant and Ministry Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra were present at the meeting. The statement said special relief arrangements have been made for the real estate sector. So that the people involved in the real estate industry do not suffer in the current crisis.
