Modi government's big gift for the poor! From June 1, you can collect rations from any part of the country

Bengali Hunt Desk: In the midst of a nationwide lockdown due to the corona crisis, the Modi government has been implementing the 'One Nation, One Ration Card' scheme in 20 states and union territories since June 1. This project is going to be very important in this difficult time. Let me tell you, the Supreme Court has also asked the Center to implement this project. The apex court has said that if the Center implements the scheme in these difficult times, the stranded migrant workers and day laborers in different states will be able to procure goods at lower prices from rations.

Under this scheme, through the State Food Security Act (NFSA), ration customers will be able to buy rations at reasonable prices from any part of the country using their own card. Union Minister Rambilas Paswan said so far 16 states and Union Territories have been connected through the project. Three more states like Mizoram and Lagaland are ready to take up the project. A total of 20 State / Union Territories are ready for the launch of Ration Card Portability from June 1.

Under the scheme, PDS beneficiaries will be identified with their Aadhaar card's electronic point-of-sale (PoS) device. PoS machines will be installed in all PDS stores to implement this scheme across the country.

Just as the state will report the installation of 100 per cent PoS machines in PDS stores in the state, so too will they be added to the One Nation, One Ration Card scheme.
