NIA issues notice to Deep Sidhu, actor says national flag was not desecrated


BanglaHunt Desk: Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu has been blamed for the reprehensible incident at Lalkella on Republic Day. The Kisan Union claimed that an unpleasant situation had arisen in Delhi's Red Fort on this day, for which Deep Sidhu had incited the farmers.

On the one hand, on Republic Day, when the whole country was intoxicated with various ceremonies, including flag hoisting, an unpleasant situation arose in the Red Fort of Delhi. Outraged farmers staged a tractor rally on the day. But they crossed certain borders and attacked the Red Fort in Delhi. Instead of hoisting the national flag there, they also hoisted the flag. Deep Sidhu has been blamed for this whole incident. The NIA even issued a notice in the name of Deep Sidhu for hoisting their flag at the Red Fort.

In this situation, Deep Sidhu shared a video from his Facebook profile and said, “Today's incident is not a premeditated incident. No one here will even try to give any color to politics. The flags of Nishan Sahib and farmers were hoisted there only as a symbolic protest. This should not be considered the work of extremists.

He added, ‘The national flag was not removed from the pillars of the Red Fort. No one questioned the unity and integrity of the country.
