Due to which the Reserve Bank of India has asked the printing press to work 24 hours and 7 days a week to replace the 2000 note. 500 notes have fallen short with the banks. To meet their supply, RBI is asking the printing press to work 24 hours.

Will have to work seven days a week

Printing press needs super speed

According to RBI, even now the printing presses are working only by giving their best. But in the coming time, for the 2000 note exchange, the printing press will have to increase its speed by 40%. So that the target of replacing the 2000 note can be met in the coming 5 months. Let us tell you, since the year 2018, the printing of 2000 notes has stopped. At present, the attention of the Reserve Bank is focused only on printing 500 notes.

Demonetisation also increased the speed

Let me tell you, in 2016, when 500 and 1,000 notes were closed. Even then the printing press used to work 24 hours. To replace them, new 200, 500 and 2,000 notes were introduced. Even at that time, the printing press used to print notes fast to manage the cash flow.

Notes can be changed till 30 September

The Reserve Bank of India has given people enough time till September 30, ie 4 months, to exchange 2000 notes. During this time people can exchange their 2000 notes. However, only 10 notes of 20000 i.e. 2000 can be changed at a time.
