Why is Ola having to return the money?
Under this, the central government gives subsidy on electric two-wheelers whose cost is less than Rs 1.5 lakh. An investigation by the Heavy Duty Ministry found that Ola was selling scooter chargers as additional accessories and charging extra money from customers for the same. That is, the customers had to pay more than the subsidy limit. When the matter came to the fore, the government objected to it.
