According to reports, the amount to be returned for the charger is around Rs 130 crore, which will be refunded. However, Ola has not given information about the amount to be refunded in its tweet. Due to this decision of the company, Ola customers can get a refund of Rs 9,000 to Rs 19,000, as its chargers fall in this range.

Why is Ola having to return the money?

Ola Electric reduced the price of scooters
Ola recently reduced the price of its S1 Pro electric scooter to boost sales. Now it can be bought at a starting price of 1.25 lakhs, which was earlier 1.39 lakhs. The cost of the charger is also included in this price.
Apart from Ola, there are many companies which charge extra money in the name of charger and other software. The names of Hero MotoCorp, Ather Energy and TVS Motor Company are included in this list.
