Plasma therapy as Corona antidepressant soon to test in Kerala

BanglaHunt Desk: Plasma therapy is being applied to patients with coronary virus in India after America. In many other countries, including the United States, this method has been able to heal a few people with coronary disease. Therefore, this time the application will be used in the medical field of India. Work is in the final stages. Soon this procedure will be applied to coronary patients.

The first implementation of this method is going to be done in Kerala in India. A senior ICMR official said, “The first Kerala state in the country has started this therapy to treat critically ill people on the basis of treatment for coronary disease”. ICMR's prestigious Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) has been approved by the State Government for the first such project.

Regarding this plasma therapy, Dr. Jagtram, a famous doctor in Chandigarh said, “There is no proper treatment for this deadly virus. The antidote for the disease has not yet been made. Efforts are underway to make the antidote. That is why antibodies are being tested. At present, plasma therapy is also being done. So we are also thinking about applying this plasma therapy. The United States says malaria drug Hydroxy Chloroquine is affecting people with coronary disease who are still healthy. But these drugs are also given to the medical staff. ”

The ICMR official had earlier informed that his drug would be subject to the approval of the Regulatory General (DCGI) before starting any clinical trial using therapy. Currently this therapy is not used for Indian patients. We are trying to launch this method everywhere in India. That is why the approval of the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) is required first. However, currently it will be used only for clinical trials. This method has already been used in some countries. This procedure is only applicable for patients who are in critical condition or in a ventilator '.
