Bangla Hunt Desk: The political crisis in Nepal has escalated. After a meeting on Sunday morning, Nepal's Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli recommended dissolving the House. Prime Minister Oli's recommendation is unconstitutional in Nepal. The court will decide whether the House will be dissolved or not.
Please note that there is no provision in the Constitution of Nepal for dissolving the House, and for this reason, the decision of Prime Minister Oli may be challenged in court. Nepal has been in turmoil for the past few months.
Nepal's Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was under pressure to withdraw a bill that was issued last Tuesday. That bill was related to the Constitutional Council Act. The Oli government's bill was approved by Nepal's President Vidya Devi Bhandari last Tuesday.
Nepal's power minister Barshaman Pun told a local newspaper that the decision to dissolve the house was taken at today's cabinet meeting. A proposal has also been sent to the President in this regard.
