Popular Bangla serial, Srijit Mukherjee's film claims to get a chance, cheating actress of Rs 23 lakh


BanglaHunt Desk: Tollywood (tollywood) An actress and her accomplice were arrested on charges of embezzling large sums of money in the name of giving them opportunities in films and serials. In the name of giving Srijit Mukherjee's films and popular channel serials a chance to act, fraud was rife in the heart of Khas Kolkata. Charu Market police have arrested two persons on the basis of a complaint lodged by a Nadia man.

One of the two arrested was Titas Ghosh, an actress and a member of the Artist Forum. Titus's membership was reportedly revoked as soon as news of his arrest surfaced. The other arrested is Sujoy Bhuiyan. The two were caught by the police soon after a complaint was lodged at the Charu Market police station.

Apart from Titas and Sujoy, Sudipta Bandyopadhyay, Parmita Bhunya, Shamik Sanyal and Sushant Bhattacharya have also been charged with forgery. According to police sources, the four are fugitives. The scam has been going on for about three years in the dormitory of Charu Market.

The fraudsters were demanding huge sums of money from Kolkata and Mofasbal, claiming that the young women of the village were given a chance in serials and Srijit Mukherjee's films. They are also accused of taking Rs 23 lakh from the complainant. So far, 19 complaints have been lodged with the police.

The complainant is Supravhat Sarkar, a resident of Nadia Kaldhani. He talked to a few people as he has a hobby of acting in serials and films. Titas and Sujoyra claim that he will be given the opportunity to act in the first line Bengali serial and director Srijit Mukherjee's film. They also took 23 lakh rupees from Sujit. Gives some fake documents instead.

It is learned that a case has been filed against a total of six people including Titas and Sujoy on the basis of the allegations of that person. Complaints are being filed under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 120B, 420, 48, 48, 461. Police are searching for the fugitives.
