Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals met in a crucial IPL match at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday. After losing the toss, the Kolkata Knight Riders batted first and threw a target of 155 towards Delhi at the end of the allotted 20 overs. Delhi opener Prithvi Shaw, known as Delhi Capitals, started in a destructive mood from the start by batting in reply.
In the first over of the match, KKR’s young bowler Shivam Mavi hit six sixes off six balls and Prithvi Shaw set a huge record. He sent every ball off the field in the first over of Mavi. It looked as if the earth’s bat had a magnet attached to it. Ajinkya Rahane was the only record holder in the past. This time Prithvi Shaw touched that record.

Shivam Mavi was Prithvi’s teammate in the Under-19 World Cup. These two played a special role in India’s victory in that World Cup. This time Prithvi hit six fours in one over because of that Shivam. At the end of the match, Delhi head coach Ricky Ponting praised Prithviraj Shaw. Prithvi had to return to the pavilion after being dismissed by Pat Cummins after playing an innings of 82 off 41 balls. Prithvi missed a hundred again for a short while. Prithvi’s innings was sorted with 11 boundaries and three over boundaries. He also became the best of the match.
