He urged the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina to take a better look at the security of the Hindu minority in Bangladesh. In a tweet, he wrote, ‘The attack on Hindus in Bangladesh is highly reprehensible. This kind of incident is caused by the fundamentalist forces. Relations between India and Bangladesh have improved since Sheikh Hasina came to power in Bangladesh. In addition to extending a helping hand to Bangladesh, we must also look after the security of our country's minorities.
Indian govt should take up the issue with bangladesh govt as immediately as possible so as to prevent further escalation.
