Most workplaces in the country are closed during the lockdown. Work has also started with 50 per cent staff in some cases while maintaining social distance. But in this situation, the real estate sector in Maharashtra is gradually falling apart.
Maharashtra's real estate sector in crisis
Sharad Pawar wrote a letter to the Prime Minister demanding improvement in the deteriorating situation in the real estate sector in Maharashtra. Most of the institutions in the country are closed due to the lockdown issued for the protection of the people due to the corona virus. In the last three months, the workers have also suffered. The countrymen have also witnessed various incidents that happened to many migrant workers due to unemployment.
The content of the letter
Currently, the real estate sector in Maharashtra is heading for a catastrophic loss due to labor shortages, unsold sales and work bans. In this context, the Prime Minister wrote a letter to Modi urging him to intervene immediately, realizing the plight of real estate. The content of the letter reads, “I urge you to personally look into the issue of real estate in Maharashtra and take the necessary steps to restore one of the most important aspects of the economy.”
Earlier, Sharad Pawar had written a letter to Prime Minister Modi seeking help for the plight of farmers in Maharashtra. However, in addition to the current Sharad Pawar, the Real Estate Developers Association of India has written a letter to the Prime Minister seeking his support and immediate intervention in real estate.
