Skoda Cars: Every major auto company is working on strengthening the lineup of electric cars. Mahindra is also planning to introduce 5 new electric SUVs in the next few years.
On 15 August 2022, Mahindra unveiled 5 new electric SUVs. Indian auto company Mahindra is introducing electric car under Born Electric Vision. The company currently sells the Mahindra XUV400 EV. However, with the plan of 6 new electric cars simultaneously, Skoda has also challenged Mahindra in the EV segment.
Skoda released new logo
Skoda will launch these new electric cars in the next 5 to 7 years. Apart from the new EV, the company has also announced a new brand identity last year. Under this, the company has come out with a new logo and brand identity. All these steps are part of the 2030 strategy. The new logo will be seen on the front and rear of all new Skoda models from 2024 onwards.

Likely to be launched in India
Out of the 6 electric cars that have been announced, two can be launched in the Indian market as well. These include a compact electric car Elroq and a small car. The length of the new Skoda Allrock EV will be around 4.5 meters, while the smaller EV will knock with 4.1 meters in length. The world premiere of the Elroq compact SUV will happen in 2024.
Will run 480km in full charge
The upcoming Elroq electric SUV can be launched with the power of 77kWh battery pack. On full charge, this car will cover a distance of 480 kms. On the other hand, the small electric car will be a subcompact SUV. If launched in India, it will compete with the Tata Nexon EV and the Mahindra XUV400 EV.
