Sonia Gandhi to meet agitated leaders to make Rahul Gandhi Congress president

Bangla Hunt Desk: The party president Sonia Gandhi is set to begin a meeting on Saturday to appease disgruntled leaders who question the leadership after infighting within the Congress party and a steady rate of elections. Sonia is unable to spend much time in the party due to her illness, and she will work to persuade disgruntled leaders to hand over the reins of the party to Rahul Gandhi.

According to Ten Janpath sources, the Congress president has called many leaders together and given them different time. Sonia will also meet Ghulam Nabi Azad, Anand Sharma and Shashi Tharoor among the 23 disgruntled leaders who wrote the letter. According to sources, the Congress president will call on all to unite to end the infighting and put the Congress chief's crown on Rahul Gandhi's head.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi has not met the leaders for almost eight months due to the Corona epidemic and illness. Leaders of different states of the party are constantly asking for time to meet him. Leaders who raised their voices against the leadership in a letter in August also sought time to meet with him to voice their objections and demands for a permanent Congress president.
