The Bombay High Court on Wednesday granted bail to Riya after extending his judicial custody on Tuesday. However, even if she gets bail, the actress will have to remain under house arrest.

A few days ago, Swara Bhaskar was vocal in demanding the release of Riya. AIIMS doctor Sudhir Gupta's statement, not murder, Sushant committed suicide. Based on his statement, Swara Bhaskar demanded bail for Riya Chakraborty.

Riya was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput case. Since then, his address has been the Byculla Jail in Mumbai. However, Riya was released on bail but her brother Shauvik Chakraborty was not released.

Earlier, Riya was in judicial custody till October 20. Yesterday, Tuesday, it was extended to October 20. Then today, at the hearing on Wednesday, Riya Chakraborty got bail on a bond of Rs 1 lakh. However, his brother Shauvik is still in jail.
